2018 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Not all age divisions and classifications use the same postseason format therefore, not all have the same postseason qualifying requirements.  Locate your team's age division and classification below to review all postseason qualification requirements for your team.

4U • 5U • 6U
4U - 6U State Championships - Open
4U - 6U World Series

State Championship:
The first level of postseason play for this division is the State Championship.  The 4U, 5U and 6U State Championship are OPEN events meaning any 4U, 5U or 6U team that registers with USSSA and completes their Official Online Roster is eligible to participate in their age divisions State Tournament.

World Series: Any team that fulfills their State Championship commitment may advance to the World Series. Teams are required to participate in their State Championship to be eligible for a World Series.

State Championship: The first level  of postseason play are the State Tournaments.  To be eligible to participate in State Championship, 7U & 8U teams must either play in a Louisiana USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of FOUR (4) for 2016 USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT) between February 15th and June 9th of the current season.
  
USSSA World Series: Any team that fulfills their State Championship commitment may advance to the World Series. Teams are required to participate in their State Championship to be eligible for a World Series. A team must play in their age and class in order to be eligible. If a team plays up in age in state they are not eligible for the event in their normal class.
 
Global World Series: To advance to the Global World Series, teams must earn a Global World Series berth by playing in a Global World Series Qualifier.  They must also meet the State Championship requirements. All World Series berths must be validated by the team playing in a USSSA Baseball State Tournament. A team must play in their age group in order to be eligible. If a team plays up in age in state they are not eligible for the event in their normal age group.
 
At-Large Berths: Teams may request an At-Large Berth and will be reviewed on an individual team bases.
 

ALL-STAR DIVISIONS
6U • 7U • 8U • 9U • 10U • 11U • 12U • 13U • 14U • 16U
6U - 16U State Championship
6U - 16U World Series

State Tournaments: The first level of postseason play are the State Tournaments. To be eligible to participate in State Tournaments, teams must either play in a Louisiana USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of four (4) for 2016 Louisiana USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT) 
NOTE:

TEAMS THAT CAN NOT MEET THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS MAY STILL PARTICIPATE IN THE "OPEN" STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AS AN AT-LARGE TEAM.

9U - 14U State Championship
9U - 14U World Series

State Tournaments:  The first level of postseason play are the State Tournaments.  The Major State Tournaments are an OPEN event meaning any team that registers with USSSA and completes their Official Online Roster is eligible to participate with the approval of the State Office. Participation in events prior to the event are required.

Elite World Series: To advance to the Elite World Series at ESPN's Wide World of Sports at Disney World, teams must earn an Elite World Series berth by finishing high enough in final standings of a Super NIT (usually 1st place).  All World Series berths must be validated by the team playing in a USSSA Baseball State Tournament.

Global World Series: To advance to the Global World Series, teams must earn a Global World Series berth by playing in a Global World Series Qualifier.  They must also meet the State Championship requirements. All World Series berths must be validated by the team playing in a USSSA Baseball State Tournament. A team must play in their age group in order to be eligible. If a team plays up in age they are not eligible for the event in their normal age group.

AA • AAA • MAJOR-ELITE
15U - 18U State Championship
15U - 18U World Series
 
State Championship: The first level of postseason play are the State Championships.  The 15U, 16U, 18U, JV & Varsity AA, AAA, Major & Scholastic State Championship are OPEN event meaning any team that registers with USSSA and completes their Official Online Roster is eligible to participate.

World Series: To advance to the World Series, teams must participate in the State Championship (not win, participate).
